Abstract

Investigates the use of offsite manufacturing in the UK construction sector and how its potential can be fulfilled to achieve better quality buildings and infrastructure; enhanced client experience; fewer labourers and increased productivity; creation of regional jobs away from large conurbations; improved health and safety for workers; offering building safety advantages to help buildings meet quality assurance standards; improved sustainability of buildings and infrastructure; and reduced disruption to the local community during construction.
