Abstract
Offers an introduction to the general principles including stability, robustness, movement joints, fire resistance and durability. Covers the design principles of loads and limit states. Looks at the design process for the majority of reinforced and prestressed concrete building structures from the initial sizing and estimating of quantities through to the final design of members (the final design of prestressed concrete members is excluded).
Document History
This is a complete revision of the Joint publication by the IStructE and ICE "Manual for the design of reinforced concrete building structures to EC2" March 2000. It has been developed to reflect the full EN version of the Eurocode with UK National Annexes. Amendment issued 18/09/2007 for pages 58, 59 and 67.
