Abstract
Presents the analysis of the Ministerial Working Group consultation in 2018 to review the building and fire safety regulatory framework in Scotland. The focus was on compliance with standards during design and construction phases of all buildings, as well as consideration of the fire safety issues in high rise domestic and other residential buildings. The consultation findings cover enforcement and resourcing, the need for definitions at early stages, risks, compliance and verification, documentation and certification, fire safety and testing, and the impact of the proposals.
