Abstract
Gives the performance standards and design provisions for compliance with the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 relating to materials and workmanship.
Document History
Came into effect 1 July 2013. Supersedes DFP Technical Booklet C: Materials and workmanship (October 2012 edition), which continues to apply to work for which full plans were deposited or building notice given before 1 July 2013. The main changes to Technical Booklet B 2013 from the 2012 edition include: re-ordering and updating the text to give due prominence to the consequences of the EU Construction Products Regulation (EU 305/2011) and updating but no substantial changes made to the sub-section dealing with workmanship. To be read in conjunction with Amendments Booklet AMD 7 'Amendments to Technical Booklet B, Technical Booklet C, Technical Booklet E' (DOF, 2022).
