Abstract

The 2019 Future homes standard consultation explores options to be introduced for new dwellings. The intention is to deliver new build homes that are capable of exploiting the latest in low carbon heating and energy efficiency measures. This will help to meet or go beyond the requirements of building regulations in terms of Part L (conservation of fuel and power) and Part F (ventilation). The impact assessment presents the options available, with relevant analysis and evidence to support the preferred option. Covers policy objectives, estimation of costs and benefits, and wider impacts.
