Abstract
Details the measurement procedures to characterise the noise emissions of a wind turbine. Includes measurement methods for assessing noise emissions at locations close to the machine, in order to avoid errors due to sound propagation, but far enough away to allow for the finite source size. These procedures include the location of acoustic measurement positions and the requirements for the acquisition of acoustic, meteorological, and associated wind turbine operational data.
