Abstract
Conventions to improve the quality and accuracy of energy performance certificates (EPC); covering general arrangements, dimensions, openings, ventilation, U-values and thermal bridging, space heating, DHW heating, renewables, summer overheating and miscellaneous issues.

SAP 2012 is used for Building Regulation compliance in new dwellings in England (Part L) from 6 April 2014, in Wales (Part L) from 31 July 2014 and in Scotland (Section 6) from 1 October 2015.
