Abstract
Gives recommendations and design guidance for measures to control or mitigate the effects of fires in rail infrastructure and premises. Focusses on ensuring the fire safety of all people. Applies to new and existing premises, including: stations, platforms, tunnels, viaducts, elevated rail, depots and maintenance facilities, training facilities, sidings, signalling/control facilities and ancillary buildings.
