Abstract
Provides practical guidance on how legislation and related policies to alleviate homelessness should be implemented. Covers: prevention of homelessness; ways of working; handling of applications; inquiries into homelessness; inquiries into intentionality; inquiries into local connection; accommodation; advice and assistance; notification and review of decisions; protection of property and action on unoccupied houses; and local authorities' duties towards persons subject to immigration control and persons from EEA member states.
