Abstract
Reflects on progress towards preparing and adapting for climate change in the UK. Setting out recommendations government department by government department, the report covers: a review of the climate challenge after Covid-19; progress in tackling climate change and reducing emissions since 2008; lessons learned since 2008; progress on emissions, indicators and policy in the last year; planning a resilient recovery; and what is needed now from UK climate policy.

The Committee on Climate Change was established under the Climate Change Act 2008 as an independent advisory body to the UK Government and Devolved Administrations, to advise on emissions targets and report to Parliament on progress made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing for climate change.
