Abstract
Presents an exploration of BIM from a structural engineering perspective. Covering the different stages of BIM and new ways of working. Looks at sharing information considering the level of detail and information required. Discusses the digital plan of work, with actions, team deliverables and relevance for the structural engineer. Other sections focus on design and detailing, fabrication, construction and how to prepare information for contractors and sub-contractors, existing structures, alteration and addition, contractual and legal implications and hand over information.
