Abstract
Provides background on the evolution of the Yellow Book (Fire protection for structural steel in buildings (ASFP, 2014)), and highlights recent reviews, clarification and simplifying of the default temperature guidance. Tables 16 and 18 and the flow chart have been revised and should be easier to use.
