Abstract
Details a 3 storey building for 1,850 pupils aged 11 to 18. The school is devised as a ‘kit of parts’ based on the suites of spaces in the Schedule of Accommodation (SoA). It allows for parts to be combined to suit the needs of the site. The dining area is the focus of the building but can also be used with the hall, and drama area for events out of school hours. General and practical teaching spaces are organised in suites with a sense of identity, but allowing some variation in the range of spaces. Each floor has staff facilities. Best use of natural ventilation and lighting is encouraged.
