Abstract
Explores the route to creating an energy system that is smart and responsive, flexible and meets net zero targets. Establishes the role of flexibility in a net zero system, what the future might be like for the electricity market, enabling flexibility for consumers with smart buildings, smart electric vehicles and smart local energy solutions. Also covers removing barriers, electricity storage and interconnection options, reforming markets, digitisation and how to achieve the plan.
