Abstract

Details guidance and methodology for appraising the risk of fire spread of external wall construction and cladding for existing multistorey, multi-occupied and residential buildings. The assessment process can be adapted to suit all types of building complexity and includes recommendations for the competence requirements of those performing the appraisals. Primarily covering blocks of flats in England, but can be applied for devolved nations with considerations of the relevant regulatory regime and supporting guidance in effect.
