Abstract

Specifies uniform performance requirements for new fire hose couplings and adapters with nominal sizes from 3/4 in. (19 mm) through 8 in. (200 mm) and the specifications for the mating surfaces.

Document History

As part of the NFPA Standards Council's Emergency Response and Responder Safety Document Consolidation Plan, this Standard has been combined into the consolidated Standard NFPA 1960. This 2019 edition of NFPA 1963 is the last published edition of the standard’s content as a stand-alone document.
