Abstract
Details application of the phased array technology for automated ultrasonic testing of fusion-welded joints. Applicable to metallic materials with a minimum thickness of 6 mm, full penetration welded joints of simple geometry in plates, pipes, and vessels. Both the weld and parent material would be low-alloyed, or fine grained steel.
