PAS 8672:2022 Built environment - framework for competence of individual principal contractors - specification

Abstract

Applicable to all building work subject to building regulations, with the exception of the duties of Principal Contractors under the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations 2015 (although the Principal Contractor could potentially undertake both roles). The Principal Contractor's role under the CDM Regulations 2015 is to ensure the safety and health of those affected by the project. The Principal Contractor's role under the Building Safety Act 2022 is to take all reasonable steps to ensure compliance with building regulations.
