Abstract
Presents an annual report of findings relating to households from the English Housing Survey. Covers households and housing stock. Households - trends in tenure; demographic and economic characteristics; first time buyers; future buying expectations; rents; affordability; rent arrears; housing benefit; tenancy deposits; length of time in current accommodation and tenure; household moves; overcrowding and under-occupation; and well-being. Housing stock - stock profile; house condition; energy efficiency; smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

Supersedes English housing survey. Headline report, 2020-21 (DLUHC, 2021). In April 2008 the English House Condition Survey was integrated with the Survey of English Housing to form the English Housing Survey (EHS).
