Accompanies the Output specification to provide guidance for designing and construction of further education buildings. Focuses on general requirements, technical standards, and performance criteria for mechanical services and public health engineering. Also covers pipework, mechanical services, ventilation of general teaching spaces and learning resource areas, ventilation for particular areas and activities, ventilation of large and circulation spaces, specialist ventilation systems, mechanical air conditioning systems, gas services, thermal comfort, design calculations for ventilation and thermal comfort, public health engineering services and handover requirements.
