Abstract

Enables organisations to effectively manage collaborative business relationships both internally and with external organisations, using a strategic lifecycle framework. Sets the context for the organisation, to understand needs and set the scope for the system. Provides guidance for leadership on roles and responsibilities, looks at planning, risk and priority setting, support and documentation. The operational framework is set out in 8 stages: Stage 1 Operational awareness, Stage 2 Knowledge, Stage 3 Internal assessment, Stage 4 Partner selection, Stage 5 Working together, Stage 6 Value creation, Stage 7 Staying together and Stage 8 Exit strategy activation. Also elaborates on monitoring, measurement, performance evaluation and improvement. Includes an assessment checklist.
