Abstract

Presents practical guidance for complying with requirements for sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency. Covers cold water supply, water efficiency, hot water supply and systems, sanitary conveniences and washing facilities, bathrooms, and food preparation areas. Includes a water efficiency calculator for new dwellings.

Document History

The 2015 edition originally came into force on 01/10/2015. It has since had 2016 amendments incorporated which apply from 01/03/2016. Change made by the 2016 amendments: Section G2, requires the water efficiency calculator to be completed for new dwellings where a shower will not be provided. Changes made by the 2024 amendments, which will be incorporated into Approved Document G in due course, and will take effect on 1 October 2024 for use in England.
