Abstract
Refers to IndiBreathe Flex for Pitched Roof Constructions, a hemp and jute fibre insulation slab suitable for pitched roofs and lofts in both new and existing domestic and non-domestic buildings, which can be installed between timber rafters of warm pitched roofs with a pitch between 10° and 70°, or between and over horizontal ceiling joists in a ventilated loft space. Key factors assessed were mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention, sustainable use of natural resources, durability.
