Abstract
Design of articles to be coated by thermal spraying. Illustrates preferred and deprecated design features. Outlines the process involved in thermally spraying metals, true and pseudo alloys, cermets, ceramics and composites. Describes four common techniques i.e. flame spraying, arc-spraying, plasma spraying and detonation coating.
