Abstract
Reviews the latest developments in methods of cladding and highlights where deficiencies still exist in the knowledge of criteria for their selection and use. Case studies include the use of a new translucent cladding material at the headquarters of Apple at Stockley park, Middlesex, and Renzo Piano's shopping centre at Bercy Charenton, Paris, which uses different elements in rainscreen cladding. Product review covers the forming of metal, composite cladding, rainscreen panels, finishes, overcladding and interaction.
