Abstract
The contractual and technical importance of making valid test cubes is explained, followed by details of requirements for cube moulds, compacting equipment and facilities for storing, curing and transporting cubes. Techniques for compacting, handling, demoulding and referencing test cubes are described. All procedures are in accordance with BS 1881. Additional guidance and model certificates are given.
