Abstract
Describes two British Standard methods for obtaining and preparing a sample of fresh concrete for test. Correct procedures are given for three methods of measuring workability: the sump test, compacting factor and flow test. Also includes a section on the use of the air meter. All procedures are in accordance with BS 1881 with additional guidance and model certificates.
