Abstract

Specifies the technical conditions for inspection and delivery of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy sheet, strip and plate for general engineering applications. Applies to products with a thickness over 0,20mm and up to 200mm. Does not apply to semi-finished rolled products in coiled form to be subjected to further rolling, or to special applications such as aerospace.

Document History

This part of BS EN 485 together with BS EN 485-3:1994 and BS EN 485-4:1994 will supersede parts of BS 1470:1987. BS 1470:1987 will not be withdrawn until the remaining standards which will replace it are published. Superseded by BS EN 485-1:2008.
