Abstract
A thorough building survey to identify all existing building features and deficiencies is an essential preliminary if rehabilitation is being considered. This checklist, for site use, provides a systematic approach to surveying of housing. Although intended for use on surveys of domestic traditional or rationalised traditional housing, including flats and maisonettes of up to four storeys, built before 1965, the checklist, may also be relevant to the limited proportion of these dwellings which are of non-traditional construction.
