Abstract

The recommendations contained in this Advice Note cover the principles, operational characteristics and layouts for narrow lane systems and tidal floor operations associated with full and partial contraflow road works schemes on 2-lane and 3-lane trunk motorways and all-purpose dual carriageway trunk roads with continuous full width (3.3 metres) hard shoulders.
