Abstract

These notes have been prepared as a guide for specifiers and manufacturers. They apply to large areas of fenestration which are outside the scope of BS 6375-1:1989 'Recommendations for the Grading of Windows' and BS 4873:1986 'Specification for Aluminium Alloy Windows' and cover window units coupled together, having their main fixings to the structure around their extreme perimeter, also curtain walling which, in effect, is hung from the structure.
