Abstract
The types of strengthening that may be employed depend primarily upon the particular form of bridge deck, the bridge location and the extent and source of the damage. Strengthening works may be designed to aid both the longitudinal performance and the transverse characteristics of a deck. This Advice Note gives guidance for strengthening, repair and monitoring of grouted post-tensioned concrete structures.
