Abstract
Recommends the practices to be followed when planning, designing and installing at-grade pedestrian crossings. It describes all types of crossings, including shared facilities with cyclists, other than those at signalled junctions. Advice is given on the design of pedestrian crossings in general and the operation of signal-controlled (Pelican, Puffin or Toucan) crossings in particular.
