Abstract

Relates to thermabate insulated PVC-U cavity closers in six sizes: 50mm, 65mm, 75mm, 85mm, 90mm and 100mm wide. The closers are for use, in conjunction with timber, PVC-U or metal window or door frames, in brickwork or blockwork cavity walls with a nominal cavity width of 50mm, 65mm, 75mm, 85mm, 90mm, 100mm, or multiples of these widths up to 200mm. The product closes the cavity or window and door openings, without forming a thermal bridge, provides a damp-proof barrier between the inner and outer wall leaves at the point of closure, and can be used to establish cavity width and to form an opening. The closers are non-loadbearing and window and door frames should be fixed independently to the masonry.
