Provides rule of thumb guidance for the stable construction of a range of common types of bonded brickwork and blockwork earth retaining walls to a maximum retained height of 1.725 m. For practical purposes, this guide provides a simplified classification of soils which are suitable to found on, and gives foundation and wall dimensions for several wall heights.
