This month’s RIBA CPD Showcase looks at specifying sustainably. While the RIBA is developing a five-year plan to embed sustainable standards and practice within its own organisation, many RIBA CPD Providers have taken steps to make their product or service offering more environmentally friendly. All of the materials featured in February’s showcase cover this theme.

All of the CPD materials included here are RIBA-accredited so you’ll earn double points, which count towards your annual total requirement of 100 learning points.

The latest CPD section includes online learning and seminars such as ‘Responsible Design with Wood and Paper Based Panels’ by Kronospan Ltd, ‘Workplace design - human centred workplace’ by Wilkhahn Ltd and ‘Upcycled fibreboards - 100% waste fibre with no added VOCs’ by Honext Material S.L.

Some of the CPD material focussing on the theme of ‘The sustainable specifier’ includes:

In this month’s issue we also look at RIBA Core Curriculum topics ‘Design, construction and technology’ and ‘Sustainable architecture’.

Remember, you should spend a minimum of 20 hours on CPD that incorporates material from the 10 Core Curriculum topics.

Our selection of live online seminars includes ‘Concrete – focus on sustainability’ by Cemex UK and ‘Sustainable Savings: Washroom Solutions for High-Performance Buildings’ by Bobrick Washroom Equipment Ltd.

The range of materials in this month’s Featured CPD section includes ‘Aluminium Windows- Sustainability and Specification’ by Kawneer UK Ltd and ‘Sustainable Surface Materials: A guide to new innovations in tile production and material composition’ by Parkside - Architectural Tiles & Strata - Technical Tiles.
