Directions

NBS is located in Newcastle City Centre. Our offices are a five minute walk from both the Central Rail Station and Metro Station, there is also car parking nearby for visitors travelling by road.

From Newcastle Central Station

On leaving the station turn right and head down Neville Street, passing the Royal Station Hotel. Continue past the statue of George Stephenson in the pedestrian island on your left, and at the junction of Neville Street, Westgate Road and Collingwood Street, cross on to the right hand side of Collingwood Street using the pedestrian crossings. At the end of Collingwood Street turn right on to St. Nicholas Street. The Old Post Office is only a short distance down the street on the right, facing St. Nicholas Cathedral.

By air

From Newcastle Airport

NBS is a 20 minute taxi ride from Newcastle Airport. Alternatively, the Tyne & Wear Metro has a station located within the airport. Take the train direct to Central Station. From a choice of three exits, take the exit signed Neville Street and follow the directions given above. For Metro timetables and further information please visit www.nexus.org.uk.

By road

From the South

On the A1 northbound remain on the A1 at Junction 65. Continue until you reach the Angel of the North and take the A167 Durham Road for Gateshead South. Continue down Durham Road for about 4 miles and cross the river using the Tyne Bridge.

From the Tyne Bridge leave the A167, taking the left hand lane for the A186 Walker and City Centre (South). At the roundabout take the first exit for City West A186 on to Mosley Street. At the traffic lights turn left on to Dean Street. The Dean Street Car Park is situated approximately 100 yards on the left.

When leaving the car park walk up Dean Street, turn left on to Mosley Street then left again on to St. Nicholas Street. The Old Post Office is only a short distance down the street facing St. Nicholas Cathedral.

From the North

From the A1 take the A167 City (Centre) which subsequently turns into the A167M Central Motorway. Follow the slip road up to the roundabout, take the third exit at the roundabout for City West A186 on to Mosley Street and follow the directions given above.

From the West

Heading east on the A69 passing Hexham and Corbridge, continue on to the junction with the A1. At the roundabout take the exit for the A1 Morpeth, heading north. Remain in the left hand lane and exit the A1 at the next junction. At this roundabout take the B6324 for City Centre (West). Continue straight ahead and follow signs for the City Centre A167.

The A167 subsequently turns into the A167M Central Motorway. Leave the motorway for the A186 Walker and City Centre (South). Follow the slip road up to the roundabout, take the third exit for City West A186 on to Mosley Street and follow the directions given above.
