Navigating a Sustainable Future: Chris Hines MBE

At the NBS Construction Leaders’ Summit, hundreds of construction professionals gathered to address key industry issues, including sustainability. The keynote speech on this topic was delivered by Chris Hines MBE, owner of A Grain of Sand and former Director of Sustainability for The Eden Project.

Chris shared fascinating insights from his time campaigning as the Director of Surfers Against Sewage, as well as the environmental improvements and ‘Waste Neutral’ vision he implemented in his role at The Eden Project. His motivating keynote also addressed the leadership mindset and ‘triple bottom line’ thinking needed for the construction businesses to deliver a more sustainable future.
