NBS Chorus Masterclass: How to create robust specifications

Well-written specifications are vital for everyone working on a construction project; they clearly set out every detail of the products and processes used. Good specifications can mean the difference between a successful project or delays, cost overruns and disputes.

Join Dr Stephen Hamil, Innovation Director at NBS, for our next Chorus Masterclass on 20 October at 11:00 AM to learn how to plan and create robust specifications using the NBS Chorus platform. Stephen will be joined by Craig Brown, specification consultant at SpecStudio, to talk through the process that was followed to create the specifications for a lakeside restaurant originally designed by HOK.

Chris Vickers, Technical Specialist at NBS, will join the session and demonstrate how the Revit plug-in for NBS Chorus was used to coordinate the design model with the specifications. He will present a number of the drawings and schedules produced from the model and explain the coordinated project information strategy.

Chris will also showcase the manufacturer systems and products featured in the project. The content developed includes a mix of both descriptive (performance) and prescriptive (product) specification.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and all attending the webinar can download the specifications and associated content following the session.
