Manufacturer Spotlight: ROCKWOOL® NyRock® Cavity Slab 032

NyRock® Cavity Slab 032 is a low lambda, non-combustible stone wool insulation slab for full and partial fill masonry cavities that enables a thinner wall construction.

NyRock® Cavity Slab 032 is a low lambda, non-combustible stone wool insulation slab for full and partial fill masonry cavities that enables a thinner wall construction. Suitable for use in new builds, renovations or extensions, the lightweight slabs are easy to handle and simple to install providing an accurate fit against the blockwork.

Manufactured using patented NyRock technology, NyRock Cavity Slab 032 has a more efficient fibre structure that increases the density of air pockets trapped within each slab. This results in improved thermal performance when compared to typical stone wool products and a low thermal conductivity of 0.032 W/mK.

As with all ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation, NyRock Cavity Slab 032 can withstand temperatures in excess of 1000°C, achieving the highest Euroclass A1 non-combustible reaction to fire classification.

Having undergone an extensive testing programme, NyRock Cavity Slab 032 is suitable for new build, renovations and extensions.

BBA certified for full fill applications (in thicknesses of 100 - 200mm), other than in very severe exposure zones with fair-faced masonry. BBA Certificate 22/6252.
BBA certified for partial fill applications (in thicknesses of 50 -200mm). BBA Certificate 22/6252.
Manufactured in accordance with BS EN 13162:2012+A1:2015 Thermal insulation products for buildings. Factory made mineral wool (MW) products.
Manufactured under ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Further, NyRock Cavity Slab 032 comes in 455mm widths to suit standard vertical wall tie spaces and achieves a closely knitted joint with adjacent slabs, without the need for taping the joints. This helps eliminate gaps allowing for continuity of insulation across the cavity. Stone wool’s high pliability also negates the need for impractical levels of precision cutting on-site, minimising the margin for error and the likelihood of thermal bridging.

You can find all the technical and performance information you’ll need to specify NyRock Cavity Slab 032 via NBS Source.
